*This extraordinary chair cushion is from one of the last Disneyland original Monorails frames that carried passengers in 1959. Disneyland monorails took many changes over the decades and their is nothing left but a few otems from the past..
*This cushion is from one of the last existing train car/frames and out of the last re-designed 1980’s car .
*In 2009 Disneyland had their last existing monorail frame from the 1959 destroyed.
*So there is nothing left from that great era than a handful of cushions.

*In 2009 The Disney 1313 Disney Club & Ape Pen Publishing , were on a mission to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Monorail, Matterhorn & Submarines. Carlene Thie started to work on this event, looking for items from the 3 attractions.

*In this case, a great idea of creating a chair , with the cushion was thought of. With the idea of having Disney Legend Bob Gurr design the frame concept, and Garner Holt making it happen by making the frame. We Now have the Monorail Chair....

What an awesome team Disney Legend Bob Gurr & Garner Holt made, creating a great work of art the “Monorail Chair”.
