The Golden Horseshoe Event


On March 29,2008 the saloon doors swung open one more time in celebration of one of the most beloved shows in Disneyland history: the Golden Horseshoe Revue. Talent from the last 50 years gather for a night of tribute and special performances each with that special Golden Horseshoe magic. Disneylands Lilly Belle DVD


This DVD will contain interviews with those who refurbished Disneylands Lilly Belle Train Car; Tim Lagaly , Russ Becker, Kenny Becker, 1955 Anaheim City Manager Keith Murdoch who worked with Walt Disney to get the job done, Jack Linquist, & Craig Ludwick.


The image on the right was taken in 1955 of Disneylands Retlaw #106 Grand Canyon Train Car; which is known today as the Lilly Belle.

This is the only known photo of the Grand Canyon #106 /Lilly Belle image from 1955 before the train car was finished.

The photo was taken by Mell Kilpatrick..

Disney Legends who helped in two of the most famous Disneyland Rides

The Haunted Mansion & The Pirates of the Caribbean DVD

These interviews were done at X Atencio home, & Blaine Gibson Studio.

Blaine Gibson was a Disney Sculpture and Animator for the Walt Disney Company for 45 years. He created a life size bronze statue of Walt Disney & Mickey Mouse (The Partners Statue) located at the Hub in front of the Sleeping Beauty Castle. Blaine contribute to such attractions as the Pirates of the Caribbean, Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln, Haunted Mansion, & The Enchanted Tiki Room.

X Atencio is a former Animator & Imagineer

for the Walt Disney Company. He was a Disney artist

from 1938-1965 who worked on “Fantasia”

“Mary Poppins” and many others. In 1965 he became

an Imagineer & Walt Disney relocated X Atencio to Disney Imagineering to assist on the creation of Primeval World Diorama for Disneyland. He later went on to developing dialogue and music for such attractions as Adventure thru Inner Space, The Haunted Mansion, & Pirates of the Caribbean.

As well as interviews with Anaheim's 1955 City Manager Keith Murdoch who found the property that the park now sits on today.


Jack Lindquist who was hired by Walt Disney as Disneyland's first advertising manager, and eventually played a key role in making the Park a world-famous tourist attraction. From . marketing the original "E tickets" to lobbying for Disneyland's millennial expansion, Jack was involved in nearly every aspect of the theme park.
